Mythstone Comics was forged from the thrill of discovery — from stepping into comic shops packed with possibility, tearing into mystery packs, wandering convention halls and finding that one book you never expected to uncover. From hunting down elusive back issues and completing long-awaited runs to admiring the artwork, stories and craftsmanship that make every comic unique, that feeling has never left us. It’s the spark of finding something special. The pull of nostalgia. The excitement of the hunt. And the community built around a shared love of comics. That spirit of discovery is where Mythstone began — and it remains at the heart of everything we do.
Where it all began
Our love of comics began long before Mythstone Comics had a name.
It began in childhood comic shops, crowded convention halls, market stalls stacked with hidden treasures, and those irresistible mystery packs where you never quite knew what was waiting inside. There was something unforgettable about peeling back the wrapping, pulling out an unfamiliar issue and being drawn in by the colours, characters and artwork before you had even read a single page.
Every comic felt like a discovery.
But comics were never only about the books themselves. Just as important was the world that surrounded them.
Comic shops were places to explore, talk, recommend, debate and discover. They were places where someone behind the counter could introduce you to a creator you had never heard of, where another collector might point you towards the missing issue in a run, and where finding something special meant even more when there was someone beside you who understood exactly why it mattered.
Conventions and events carried that same energy on a larger scale — thousands of collectors, readers, artists and fans brought together by a shared love of extraordinary stories and artwork.
That feeling never left us.
As the years passed, childhood discovery became serious collecting. It became long searches for elusive back issues, the satisfaction of finally completing a run, uncovering overlooked stories and developing an even deeper appreciation for the incredible creativity behind every cover and every page.
Because for us, comics have always been about more than simply owning books.
They are about the artwork. The stories. The hunt. The memories attached to them. And the people you meet along the way.
Mythstone Comics grew from that passion.

For now, Mythstone Comics is selling through eBay while we build our full retail home. Every listing is prepared with a collector's eye, with clear descriptions, careful condition notes and a genuine appreciation for the books that pass through our hands.
